Telecommunication technologies: concepts, use of modern means. Abstract

The concept of information technology. What modern technical means are used to automate information and management activities. Modern telecommunication technologies in corporate governance

The concept of information technology

The main direction of management restructuring and its radical improvement, adaptation to modern conditions was the mass use of the latest computer and telecommunications equipment, the formation on its basis of highly effective information and management technologies.

Tools and methods of applied computer science are used in management and marketing. New technologies based on computer technology require radical changes in the organizational structures of management, its regulations, human resources, documentation system, recording and transmission of information.

Of particular importance is the introduction of information management, significantly expanding the ability of companies to use information resources. The development of information management is associated with the organization of data processing and knowledge, their consistent development to the level of integrated automated control systems, covering vertically and horizontally all levels and links of production and sales.

Technology is a set of scientific and engineering knowledge implemented in methods of work, sets of write your lab report for you material, technical, energy, labor factors of production, ways to combine them to create a product or service that meets certain requirements.

Technology is inextricably linked with the mechanization of production or non-production, especially the management process. Management technologies are based on the use of computers and telecommunications equipment.

According to the definition adopted by UNESCO, information technology is a set of interdependent, scientific, technological, engineering disciplines that study methods of effective organization of work of people engaged in the processing and storage of information; computer technology and methods of organization and interaction with people and production equipment, their practical applications, as well as related social, economic and cultural problems. Information technologies themselves require complex training, high initial costs and knowledge-intensive equipment. Their introduction should begin with the creation of mathematical software, the formation of information flows in training systems.

What modern technical means are used to automate information and management activities

In recent decades, management in the most developed countries, in particular, in the United States and Japan, for creative information technology of the so-called third (higher) level. They cover the complete information cycle – the production of information (new knowledge), their transfer, processing, use to transform the object, the achievement of new higher goals.

Information technologies of the third level mean the highest stage of computerization of management, allow to involve computers in creative process, to connect force of human mind and power of electronic engineering.

Full integrated automation of management involves the coverage of the following information and management processes: communication, collection, storage and access to necessary information, information analysis, text preparation, support for individual activities, programming and solving special problems. The main areas of automation of information and management activities of companies are as follows: automation of the information exchange process, including management PBX, "e-mail". Modern technical means of automation of information and management activities include:

personal computers connected in a network; electronic typewriters; word processing systems (problem-oriented computer systems that have great functionality); copiers; communication facilities, telephone equipment; tools for automating the input of archival documents and information retrieval (these include non-traditional media: magnetic disks and tapes, microfilms, disks with optical recordings); means for information exchange – "e-mail"; video information systems; local computer networks; integrated networks of institutions.

Modern telecommunication technologies in corporate governance

Corporate governance is a set of management actions that a company must take to achieve its goal, gain a good reputation and trust of creditors and investors.

Investors, before making a decision on cooperation and investment in any enterprise, analyze its situation, primarily in terms of the existing management system. Improving management culture is closely linked with the use of modern telecommunications and information technology.

In today’s world, companies engaged in a particular business are constantly faced with the same questions:

how to better and more efficiently organize the exchange of information within the company, as well as with partners and customers, how to make the company’s information space unique, despite the geographical distance of some offices, how to maintain data security and ensure high reliability, while not losing benefits new technologies and minimize their costs.

Such questions arise in any country of the world and before the companies of various spheres of activity, irrespective of the size or qualification. All these problems have a "telecommunications component". After all, any business cannot exist without the exchange of information. The success or failure of a company in conducting business in general will depend to some extent on how efficiently and optimally the corporate communication network is built.

The following options are possible. Typically, a company facing such problems can solve them in two ways. The first is to use their own resources to solve emerging problems. With this approach, the company will have to create a communications department that performs to some extent the functions of a professional operator, use the services of one or more independent operators to obtain "basic telecommunications services".

It is also necessary to independently analyze modern equipment, prepare the premises in which to install and configure hardware and software. The solution of these problems takes a long period of time, is costly, not flexible, not technological, because it is implemented, ultimately, by a non-professional telecommunications operator.

Another option is to use the services of a telecommunications operator, which can offer such a client company a ready-made solution. This approach is optimal and meets the above requirements. That is why companies are increasingly resorting to the services of telecommunications providers to solve the complex problem of creating a universal corporate communication network.

For a telecommunications operator, such outsourcing is also very interesting and profitable, as it expands the scope of its activities and allows it to receive additional income.

Services for the creation and management of virtual private corporate communication networks are among the modern "outsourcing" technologies. Most operators both abroad and in Russia already offer or actively develop similar services. For example, the new service of Transtelecom, TTK IP VPN is one of them.

TTK IP VPN is a broadband private virtual communication network (VCS) based on Transtelecom’s backbone IP network and IP technologies.

As part of the service, Transtelecom organizes the Client’s integrated communication network, provides network management and operation. Thus, the client company can focus on its core business, entrusting a professional operator with solutions to all telecommunications issues that arise in the course of its business activities.

The peculiarity of TTK IP VPN service is that it can be provided in combination with Internet access.

Internet technology is also directly related to corporate governance systems. Here are some areas in which the Internet is currently used most productively: marketing, direct sales, public relations, interaction with partners.

Using a high-speed backbone network, the company can have dedicated Internet access, which has the following advantages:

high-speed connection to the international part of the Internet; availability of services not only in large cities, but also in any other settlements through which the railway passes; high reliability of provided services due to redundancy of IP network backbones.

The history of enterprise management automation dates back decades. But recently, with the rapid development of telecommunications technology, companies have new opportunities to optimize corporate governance systems. The services of new telecommunication providers appearing in Russia are called upon to provide indispensable assistance in this difficult matter. With their arrival on the Russian telecommunications market, the real use of modern information technologies in business can be expected in the near future.

Features and role of state enterprises. Abstract

State-owned enterprises began to emerge due to the desire of states to take responsibility for the development of some important sectors of the economy that are socially necessary (eg, electricity, roads, post office). On the other hand, the nature of these industries is such that individuals are not interested in doing them

States began to create enterprises whose property, like the enterprises themselves, is owned by the state.

Unlike private associations, profit-making is not important for state-owned organizations.
